This project was awarded a 2022 Award of Excellence by the Communicator Awards in the category of Digital Branded Content.
Our client was in need of a new website design as well as a new logo. The new logo and branding for this organization needed to reflect a recent brand update made by the parent company. The client requested to keep a representation of braille incorporated into the logo itself since since they felt it had equity for their organization. As a community that places accessibility as a top priority, the logo and website needed to reflect the highest visibility and adherence to WCAG standards.
Keeping that in mind, I recommended a black and white logo that would serve all members of the organization equally. The letters PB are shown in Braille inside of a box that incorporates a moving arrow to represent an enclosed network or community. The movement of the arrow suggests advancement and new opportunities. For the website design, I selected 2 accent colors from the parent company's palette that accented the nature of this organization. We reorganized the content to highlight the services offered by the client and more prominently feature the donation call to action. With a new content structure and mobile-first approach, this website update made the organization appear more professional.
